ARESVPN / LEGAL
PRIVACY POLICY
How AresVPN approaches VPN privacy, subscriptions and the information needed to operate the service.
1. Who is responsible?
AresVPN is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. This entity is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Privacy requests: [PRIVACY EMAIL]
Product support: [SUPPORT EMAIL]
2. VPN privacy and necessary service information
AresVPN is designed not to retain a browsing or activity history through its standard VPN service. VPN activity and content are different from the limited information needed to activate, operate and secure a subscription. This does not mean that no data is processed.
Limited service information may include subscription and entitlement identifiers, plan and renewal status, device or app technical information, diagnostic information, security events and support correspondence. These categories must be limited to what is necessary for the purpose concerned.
[REVIEW REQUIRED: Confirm the exact collected fields, diagnostic settings and operational retention periods against the released Android service before publication.]
3. Android subscriptions and payments
The Android subscription flow does not require a traditional AresVPN email/password registration. Google Play handles subscription purchases and payment transactions. AresVPN may process entitlement or purchase identifiers needed to activate, verify and restore your selected plan.
Payment-card details are handled by Google Play, rather than stored by AresVPN as part of this subscription flow. Information you voluntarily send for support, including contact details, may be used to respond to your request.
4. Olympus features and privacy
Dedicated IP
A dedicated IP is reserved for your use rather than shared with other customers. Its consistent address can make separate sessions easier for websites to associate. It does not promise anonymity. Assignment and configuration information is needed to provide the feature.
Tracker & Ad Blocker
This feature helps limit supported advertising and tracking connections. It cannot block every advertisement or tracking method and is not a substitute for safe browsing practices.
Port Forwarding
Port forwarding uses configuration information to direct permitted incoming connections to your service. Enabling it can increase exposure of the applications you make reachable. Only open the ports you need and secure the connected applications.
[REVIEW REQUIRED: Confirm the data categories and retention associated with these optional configurations.]
5. Website and public-IP check
The website and its hosting services may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages and technical security information to deliver and protect the site. Fonts are loaded from an external font service, which receives the network information needed to serve them.
When you open Check Protection, your browser requests your public IP, approximate location and internet provider from a public-IP lookup service. The page displays that response in your browser. The lookup code does not save those results to browser storage or send them to an AresVPN database. The lookup service receives your request and handles it under its own practices.
This is a public-IP exposure check, not a test of whether you use a VPN or whether a device has been compromised. Location is approximate and may reflect a VPN or network exit location.
[REVIEW REQUIRED: Confirm hosting/request-log retention, any hosting-level cookies and the applicable external-service privacy disclosures before publication.]
6. Purposes and legal grounds
Service information is used to provide and restore access, verify subscriptions, deliver selected features, diagnose faults, answer support requests and protect against abuse. Other processing may be required for legal obligations or handling disputes.
Where applicable, these purposes rely on performing the service contract, meeting legal obligations, or legitimate interests in operating and securing the service after considering your rights. Where consent is required, it must be obtained and can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.
[REVIEW REQUIRED: Confirm the purpose and legal basis for each actual processing activity, including optional diagnostics.]
8. Retention and security
Information should be retained only as long as needed for its stated purpose, taking into account active subscriptions, restoration requirements, security investigations, legal obligations and disputes. Deletion or anonymisation should follow when the information is no longer needed.
Appropriate technical and organisational measures should protect personal information. No internet service, security measure or VPN can guarantee complete anonymity or absolute security.
[RETENTION SCHEDULE: Confirm category-specific periods or criteria before publication.]
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it and complain to a relevant data-protection supervisory authority.
Send requests to [PRIVACY EMAIL]. Proportionate verification may be necessary to protect your information. Rights are subject to applicable conditions and lawful retention requirements.
Canceling a subscription and requesting data deletion are separate actions. Manage subscription renewal through Google Play. A deletion request does not itself cancel billing, and canceling does not necessarily require immediate deletion of records that must lawfully be retained.
10. Policy updates
This policy may be updated as the service or legal requirements change. The current policy and its effective date will appear here, with additional notice where required. Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE].
